And you just kind of find yourself talking and being like, Oh, celebrity baptisms. And then it’s good just to be like, that’s in the ether now, and we don’t necessarily need to be like, so there is an episode where we just put it up there and we all are like, Oh my God. Oh yeah, let’s put celebrity baptism on a board. Speaker 3: Yeah, things like, oh, celebrity baptisms are a thing. Isaac Butler: So you’re brainstorming ideas of things to kind of satirize over the course of the season in a loose way. Anything we’ve noticed or annoyed by or think is funny.

So we usually spend a couple of weeks just being like, Hi, hello everyone and kind of shooting the set and talking about anything that is funny to us because our show is very steeped in pop culture or kind of talk about anything and everything that’s going on in the entertainment industry. Speaker 3: I mean, I’m sure it’s different for everyone, but with the we tend to kind of break the season at the beginning of the writers room, obviously.

So what is, you know, breaking a season or breaking it up? I said, What is that part of the TV writing process? Isaac Butler: Let’s talk a bit about, you know, breaking the episodes because I feel like that term might not be one our listeners are familiar with.

And so then the scripting part is a damn blast because the outline so details are just like copy paste, copy paste. And that’s like a long process, but that’s sort of the quote unquote writing where we have everything and then we just get to like pick and choose and put it together. We have we put on our adult and listen to music and have all our jokes to choose from. And then once we get to the outline, that’s when we’re like, okay, great. And then we pitched, you know, fun and jokes within each scene. Speaker 2: So at least on our part, we, we focus on one episode, make sure the groundwork, the like, what we really need to happen in the episode happens. I know other shows where it’s like we’re working on episode seven, they’re rewriting episode three, we’re shooting episode ten, and that is like a brain that is miraculous to me. We have the luxury that we get to write the whole season and then prep the whole season and then shoot the whole season and then edit the whole season so we can compartmentalize what tasks we’re on.

Speaker 2: Well, we sort of don’t move on to like full writing out stuff until we’re like very solid in our groundwork or in our, you know, so we break out one episode at a time.

Isaac Butler: When you actually do have to sit down and write whether together or what you know is there are how do you shut all that stuff out? You know, some writers have rituals, they’re like, Oh, I’m going to light this particular candle and I’m going to sit down on my desk or whatever, you know, how how do you do it? How do you learn how to keep all that stuff at bay so you can do the creative part of, you know, your writing job?
